Mumbai Police has won plaudits for the way it uses social media to reach out to Mumbaikars, both celebrities and commoners.
If you see a law and order problem, all you need to do is send them a tweet and that is what Vidya Balan did.
On February 12, Vidya Balan tweeted: “Abandoned car sitting in the middle of Bandra flyover for the past few days ... Please look into it@MumbaiPolice @mumbaitrafficop (sic)."

And on Monday night, the cops towed the car away and promptly let Vidya know.
“@vidya_balan Good evening Ms Balan. We had informed the concerned traffic division about the abandoned vehicle & it has been towed away” (sic).
And Balan appreciated the same and thanked them.
